Great Encouragement!

Finally a book on beauty addressed to the older woman! Ronelda confronts the beauty issues of women over 50 head-on with wisdom and years of experience in making women more beautiful. The photographs are gorgeous and cover a wide age range. Ronelda shows us that we can be beautiful at any age and gives us some much needed advice for the work place. Let's face it ladies, looks DO matter when competing with younger women. It is hard to hear but is played out every day in reality. Whether you are seeking to update your look, re-entering the marketplace, or about to embark on a new career, this book is for you! Great job Ronelda!

GREAT BOOK!!! I've always loved "before & after" makeover features - but this one is The Best! Each model shows such drastic improvement, yet seems so much more believable than any others in magazines & books. The changes made are ones that aren't "over the top" in terms of expense required or extravagance in style that would make it unrealistic for "everyday" appearance.
The author also shares her invaluable professional "secrets" with us so we have the tools & tips to make our "best look" become a reality, too! She makes it practical and easy to understand so we know there really are ways to make the most of any hair situation at any age. Wow - being female over fifty CAN still be fun!

It's not about looking younger, it's about looking fantastic at any age

Despite the title of this book, It's not really about looking "young", it's about looking your stylish best at whatever age you are. I guess we've all seen makeovers and been wowed. It's true clothing choices are important, but the one thing you take with you into every outfit you wear is yourself. Nothing makes quite as much impact as a perfect hair cut, style and colour choice, and that's what this book's about. There are many case study pictures that really prove the point. Why is it so easy to see when someone else's hairstyle is working for them or against them, but not yourself? I guess it just is. Most of us will never be on a makeover show, but this is the next best thing. It'll inspire you, and show your hairstylist what direction you want to take so they can interpret it for your hair and your lifestyle. The key message of the book is to be brave. If you settle for the same old, same old forever you will inevitably look old, get treated like you're old, and end up feeling invisible. You're going to wear your hair everyday anyway, wash it, dry it, take care of it; why not get it working for you? There is no downside to feeling sassy and pleased with what you see when you look in the mirror.
